Namibia

We visited Namibia in September 2019. We instantly fell in love. We traveled the country via 4x4 truck for two weeks. Our time was split between hotels and camping in our roof tent. It was one of our favorite adventures of all time and we can't wait to get back to Africa to see as much as possible.

Did you know?

  • Namibia is the second least densely populated country in the world after Mongolia. Only 3.2 people per square kilometer.
  • The Namib Desert is the oldest desert in the world.
  • More than 20% of the country is protected as National Parks with an additional 26% protected by some sort of formal preserve.
  • There are over 30 languages spoken in the country.
  • Namibia did not become independent until 1990.
  • It was the first country in the world to include environmental protection in the constitution.
